NIS2 may apply to your organisation. Do you know if you are in scope?

NIS2 applies to organisations across various sectors critical to the economy and society. However, the sector in which an organisation operates is not the only determining factor. Its size and other legal criteria also play a role in determining whether NIS2 applies.

Not sure whether your organisation is in scope?

What does NIS2 require?

Organisations within scope must meet specific requirements, including cybersecurity measures, incident reporting obligations, staff training and awareness, and compliance with the applicable penalties for non-compliance.

Security measures

Organisations must implement appropriate protective measures, including access controls, threat detection, incident management and data protection.

Risk assessment

Regular risk assessments are required to identify vulnerabilities, anticipate security gaps and take proactive action before an incident occurs.

Reporting

Cybersecurity incidents must be reported to the National Cybersecurity Centre (CNCS), which assesses their impact and monitors the response.

Challenges that become opportunities with the right partner.

NIS2 introduces real requirements. Organisations that address them with the right support can turn these challenges into a competitive advantage.

Regulatory complexity

Understanding and complying with NIS2's detailed requirements can be complex and time-consuming.

Resources and capabilities

Compliance requires investment in cybersecurity technology and the development of internal capabilities.

Expertise

Internal teams may lack the specialised knowledge needed to address cybersecurity requirements effectively.

Coordination and collaboration

Ensuring effective cooperation between organisations, sectors and authorities such as the CNCS and ENISA.

Organisational culture

Building a cybersecurity culture that involves the entire organisation, from leadership to employees.

The ORBCOM approach

ORBCOM supports each organisation according to its starting point, priorities and level of maturity.
